UK Culture Secretary to Hold Talks on Maccabi Tel Aviv Supporters Prohibition
The police and crime commissioner from the central England region has called for an urgent review of the decision to ban the Israeli team's fans from attending the forthcoming game.
The commissioner, who supervises the police department, states that this appeal aims to verify whether the prohibition is suitable, essential, warranted, sensible, and a balanced step to achieve a legitimate aim.
"That must include evaluation of every and any appropriate, other choices," Foster adds.
The commissioner has also requested to review the official ruling and suggestion from the advisory group, along with the law enforcement evaluation.
He underscores, however, that the final decision belongs to the committee and the police.
